Boys Athletic Coordinator
This full-time position will share the responsibility of planning, coordinating and head coaching; including, but not limited to six-man football, implementing athletic programs and overseeing part-time athletic staff. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and one to three years’ experience is required. Apply online.
Homeparents
Full-time homeparents are a live-in couple who, under the supervision of the Unit Manager and Campus Administrator, are responsible for the daily supervision of youth in the home unit. Additionally, homeparents are responsible for teaching daily living skills, problem management, building team relationships, home unit management, and having an up-to-date awareness of Methodist Children’s Home policies and procedures. Homeparents work on a rotating schedule of seven days on and seven days off. A high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver’s license are required. In addition, further education in child care related fields are required through McLennan Community College and Methodist Children’s Home. Training hours are required annually according to licensing standards. Apply online.
Recreation Coordinator
This full-time staff member will share the responsibility of the total campus recreation program as it relates to the Athletic and Recreation Department. The recreation coordinator will participate in planning, coordinating and implementing athletic and outdoor recreation programs, as well as oversee recreation staff. A bachelor's degree in related field is required.
Athletic Assistant - Part-time
Part-time positions are available. Hours will vary and may include afternoons, nights and weekends. Job duties include coaching team sports and organizing athletic activities for adolescent boys and girls. A high school diploma or GED, no criminal history and a good driving record are required. This full-time position is responsible for cafeteria style cooking. The candidate must receive a ServSafe Certificate within six months of the hire date. Applicants must be detail-oriented and have computer experience. Job experience plus a high school diploma or GED are required. Unit Manager
This full-time position requires a master’s degree in social work or a related field. The unit manager will be responsible for case management, group work, staff supervision, team leadership, direct contact with youths’ families, coordinating meetings and communicating youths’ progress. Responsibilities include the supervision of youth in a residential living unit and attending to unit duties regarding care and maintenance of the unit. This is a full-time, overnight position. Youth Care Counselors are responsible for the supervision of youth in a residential living unit. This position attends to unit duties regarding care and maintenance of the unit. Hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. on a rotating shift. Youth Care Counselor Lead - Boys Unit
This full-time position is responsible for mentoring and leading Youth Care Counselors (YCC) in the home unit, and hands-on training of YCCs in youth management and direct childcare. The YCC Lead will participate in annual written evaluations for YCCs in collaboration with the unit manager. A bachelor's degree in a related field with at least one year of experience is required.
