WACO CAMPUS JOB OPENINGS

Homeparents
Full-time homeparents are a live-in couple who, under the supervision of the Unit Manager and Campus Administrator, are responsible for the daily supervision of youth in the home unit. Additionally, homeparents are responsible for teaching daily living skills, problem management, building team relationships, home unit management, and having an up-to-date awareness of Methodist Children’s Home policies and procedures. A high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver’s license are required. In addition, further education in child care related fields are required through McLennan Community College and Methodist Children’s Home. Director of Community Services
This full-time position will manage and oversee the operation of the Waco Community Services office. Responsibilities include recruitment, training, licensing, supervision of foster homes and the placement of children in appropriate foster homes, assessment, intake, and service planning. In addition, the Director will work with parents or managing conservators for family reunification. The Director will provide Partnership in Parenting when appropriate. This position must maintain a high level of compliance with MCH policy and procedures, accreditation standards and TDFPS Licensing standards. Boys Athletic Coordinator
This full-time position will share the responsibility of planning, coordinating and head coaching; including, but not limited to six-man football, implementing athletic programs and overseeing part-time athletic staff. Painter
This full-time position requires five years of painting experience in industrial, commercial or a residential setting. Responsibilities include plastering, tile setting, v.c.t. furniture moving, and all aspects of Plant Maintenance. The applicant must be willing to perform duties outside of the trade and work additional hours when necessary. Athletic Assistant - Part-time
Part-time positions are available. Hours will vary and may include afternoons, nights and weekends. Special Education Coordinator
The Special Education Coordinator will be responsible for assessing students for special education eligibility. In addition, this position will include scheduling, facilitating and documenting all aspects of Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings following federal, state and local guidelines and rules. A master's degree in School Psychology or a related field, knowledge of the ARD process and strong written and verbal skills are required. Recreation Coordinator
This full-time position is responsible for all recreation programs at the Boys Ranch. The Recreation Coordinator is required to have the physical ability to instruct and participate in all activities, and must be able to work independently and develop innovative programs for youth in residential care. The working schedule is flexible; however, it will require working afternoons, evenings and weekends. Equine Coordinator
This full-time position provides individual and group work services at the Boys Ranch, instructs horsemanship classes, and supervises all horseback riding and other recreational activities. The Equine Coordinator will assess, plan and evaluate equine programs; teach horsemanship classes on a regular rotation; and maintain horses and equipment. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience is required. A degree in Recreation or Social Work is preferred. Eastern Regional Administrator for Community Services
(Corpus Christi, Houston, Lufkin, San Antonio, Tyler, Waco)

The Regional Administrator is responsible for the overall program of foster care and family preservation throughout Texas and New Mexico within the assigned office of Community Services, working under the direct supervision of the Vice President for Community Services to ensure the Regions are functioning within guidelines. The Regional Administrator will organize and execute a program of foster care and family preservation that fully utilizes welfare principles and methods, social work, and other clinical services. Caseworker - Dallas, Texas
This full-time position requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field. A master’s degree and foster care experience are preferred. The caseworker will be responsible for recruitment and supervision of foster homes in addition to providing family preservation services to children and families in Tarrant and surrounding counties.
