Full-time homeparents work 7 days on and 7 days off under the supervision of the Unit Manager and Campus Administrator. Homeparents are responsible for the daily supervision of youth in the home unit. Additionally, homeparents are responsible for teaching daily living skills, problem management, building team relationships, home unit management, and having an up-to-date awareness of Methodist Children’s Home policies and procedures. The Boys Ranch Administrator is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating the overall program and personnel for the Boys Ranch program. The Administrator works under the general direction and supervision of the Vice President for Residential Care to insure that the Boys Ranch is functioning within the total guidelines of and executing a program of group care that fully utilizes the dynamics and techniques of modern child welfare principles and methods, social work, education and other clinical services. The Administrator is expected to carry out a therapeutically oriented program so that each individual boy and his family can derive the fullest benefit from his group living experience. The Administrator is the authority person of the Ranch and is responsible for the staff and boys within the Ranch program. The Administrator shall participate in evaluation services, and in planning and development improvement in policies and practices of the Boys Ranch and Methodist Children's Home. A master's degree in social work with five years experience in working with adolescents in an administrative role is preferred. A master's degree in a related field may be accepted in some circumstances. Must have Texas Child Care Administrator's Licensor or be eligible to obtain. Apply online.
