Charitable Giving
Our mission has always been to serve children based on their needs, not their ability to pay. While parents are asked to provide financial support for their child’s care, less than two percent of our budget comes from family payments. Generous individuals, churches and organizations provide the financial foundation that helps us serve an increasing number of children and youth in Texas and New Mexico. Some faithfully give each year to ensure the daily needs of our children are always met, while others have given MCH the ultimate honor by including our ministry in their estate plans.
We have been blessed by the generosity of individuals throughout our history who have helped the Home build a strong endowment fund to provide for many of our organizational needs. Because we only use the earnings from our endowment fund, we must raise more than $3 million for annual operating expenses. We raise this money through direct mail appeals, the annual Christmas offering in the United Methodist churches of Texas and New Mexico, and our monthly donor program and major gift support.
Our ministry is built upon a foundation of charitable support.
